Super League Gaming acquires Bloxbiz
Esports organization Super League Gaming is digging deeper into metaverse advertising.
Super League acquires Bloxbiz, an advertising platform that allows brands to place advertisements in Roblox games. Advertisements in the Bloxbiz game can appear on virtual billboards or on the sides of buildings, for example. The advertising platform, which was founded in 2020, reaches over 25 million monthly active Roblox users.

The total value of the deal is $ 17.5 million in equal amounts of cash and Super League equity.
“There are exactly three reliable ways for brands to initiate an authentic relationship with gamers in today’s media landscape – in the game, in the stream and in the content,” said Matt Edelman, chief commercial officer of Super League Gaming, in a statement announcing the acquisition. âOur acquisition of Bloxbiz places the Super League in an enviable position within the in-game advertising ecosystem. The two companies started working together earlier this year when the Super League started running multiple Roblox campaigns using Bloxbiz. Loving the results, the Super League moved to acquire.
