Nisha Sujeewon, Home Manager at Cathkin House, said: “We had a wonderful time celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with our extended family here at Cathkin House.

“For older people and people with dementia, reminiscing about milestones, such as previous Jubilee celebrations, can help bring back happy memories, as well as spark conversation and connection with those around them.

“These positive feelings gained from revisiting good memories can help reduce stress, reduce restlessness and improve mood.

“We have many royalists here at home who were keen to mark the Queen’s incredible reign and celebrate in style.

“Everyone had a fantastic time, and we are already planning our next royal knees.”
