Offensive and racist graffiti appeared in Malton and Norton.

Officers are asking the public for help to help establish all the circumstances surrounding the incidents and are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the areas to contact them. They would also call on residents of the area to continue to report any other incidents.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
“This type of crime is totally unacceptable and can have a huge emotional impact on its victims and the community as a whole.
“We take this incident very seriously and will not tolerate this type of behavior, which is completely at odds with the welcoming nature of our local communities.”
